Padel Cornwall Weekender — Terms & Conditions (Booking Terms)

Last updated: 07/02/2026

These Booking Terms apply to all bookings for a Padel Cornwall Weekender (“the Weekender”). By booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

Padel Cornwall is operated by Tom (Thomas Hutchins trading as Padel Cornwall) (“we”, “us”, “our”). We organise the Weekender and coordinate partner suppliers. Instruction and venue services are provided by third parties (see section 9).

2) What you’re booking

The Weekender is a small-group, personalised three-night padel-focused weekend based in Perranporth, Cornwall.

Your booking may include:

  • 3 nights non-electric pitch at Anchor Barrow campsite (Thu, Fri, Sat nights)

  • Padel sessions at UK Padel Newquay

  • Group surf lesson(s) from a local surf school on Perranporth Beach (& wetsuit + board for the lesson)

  • Use of beach tennis equipment

  • Minibus/group transport between Anchor Barrow Campsite and UK Padel Newquay (scheduled group journeys), run by a local taxi firm.

  • Event hosting, game formats, and organisation by Padel Cornwall

Not included (unless stated otherwise):

  • Camping accommodation (bring your own tent/campervan/caravan/motorhome)

  • Food and drink

  • Personal equipment beyond what is included in the surf lesson

  • Individual travel to/from Anchor Barrow Campsite

3) Eligibility (Age + suitability)

  • The Weekender is 21+ only. We may request ID.

  • You should be able to take part in moderate physical activity and follow coaching/instructor guidance.

  • Surfing is an open-water activity. You must be comfortable in the sea and able to swim.

4) Booking, pricing and capacity

  • Capacity is strictly limited to 12 ticket holders.

  • Prices may change over time and are based on availability and any promotional offers/discount codes.

5) Payment terms (deposit + balance)

  • A non-refundable deposit (50% of total balance) secures your place.

  • The remaining balance is due by 6 weeks before the Weekender

6) Cancellations by you

Because this is a limited-capacity event with supplier commitments, the following applies:

Deposits

  • Deposits are non-refundable, except where we cancel the Weekender (section 7).

If you cancel before 6 weeks before your weekender.

  • Your deposit remains non-refundable.

  • Any additional payments you have made beyond the deposit will be refunded.

If you cancel within 6 weeks of your weekender.

  • Your deposit is non-refundable.

  • We will refund 25% of the total balance of your booking if fully paid.

7) Changes to itinerary

We may make reasonable changes to the schedule if required due to weather, safety, venue/supplier availability, or other circumstances outside our control.

Examples:

  • Surf may be moved in the day (or replaced with an alternative activity) if conditions are unsafe or the surf school requires a change.

  • Padel sessions may be adjusted to make best use of available courts, weather conditions, and group numbers.

We will always aim to deliver the core promise: a padel-focused weekend with a great group and well-run sessions.

8) Weather and outdoor activities

This is an outdoor weekend in Cornwall — weather is part of the deal. Please come prepared for changing conditions.

We do not provide refunds for weather-related changes where the Weekender still goes ahead and alternative arrangements are made.

9) Third-party suppliers and responsibility

Padel Cornwall organises the Weekender, but some services are delivered by third parties (for example: UK Padel Newquay and the surf school).

  • Coaching and instruction are provided by qualified coaches/instructors engaged by the venue/supplier.

  • You agree to follow all safety instructions and venue rules set by these providers.

  • You may be required to sign additional waivers or comply with specific supplier terms on the day.

10) Assumption of risk / liability

By attending, you acknowledge that padel, surfing, and outdoor activities carry inherent risks (including injury). You participate at your own risk and are responsible for your own health and fitness to take part.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is not permitted by law. Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Padel Cornwall’s liability is limited to the total amount you paid for your booking.

11) Conduct and safety

We want a friendly, respectful group. We reserve the right to remove anyone from the Weekender (without refund) for behaviour that is unsafe, disruptive, threatening, discriminatory, or that puts others at risk.

12) Photography and content

We may capture photos/video during the Weekender for marketing and social media. By attending, you consent to reasonable use of this content.

If you would prefer not to be featured, please tell us in writing before the Weekender and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

13) Travel insurance

We strongly recommend you have suitable personal insurance (e.g., travel/personal accident) that covers sports activities and cancellation circumstances relevant to you.
